Panoramic Shots of Ranchi City
It took me a good while to climb the five hundred plus (500+) steps of the Pahadi Shiva temple at Ranchi, but once I reached the top, I was extremely happy to have made it as the top provided me with excellent panoramic views of the Ranchi city! Nearly a 360 degree view!
Below are the panoramic photographs.
Big FM 92.7 and their lucky listeners meet the Nano Superdrive at Ranchi!!
Earlier in the day today, the Big FM 92.7 team and their lucky listeners got together at the Birsa chowk in Ranchi and got themselves nice and cosy in the Superdrive Nanos. You could sense their excitement as they ogled the cars.
It was nice to see an entire family with kids add an extra bit of spice to the group. One of the lucky listeners got to drive one of the Nanos, while all the others got an opportunity to go on a city drive with the entire Superdrive team in the Superdrive cars.
Post the drive, all the lucky listeners got an opportunity to go live on FM radio 92.7 and share their afternoon experience in the People’s car!
Snake Charmers still exist in India!
For time immortal, India has been known as the land of the snake charmers. But, in this huge wave of country wide development the last couple of decades, these people seem to have lost their livelihood.
But, that is not true in Ranchi as I spotted these two snake charmers sitting outside the Pahadi Shiva Temple.

Pitstop: Hairpin turn in the Chhattisgarh!
It was at one of these ghats and on a hairpin turn that the team decided to take a break.
Near our pit stop location was also a view point from where we could get a panoramic view of the entire green valley below. It was truly a picturesque sight!
Of steel plants, power plants, single lane roads and speed breakers!
It was a long drive for the Nano Superdrive team from Raigarh to Ranchi. We nearly covered 400 kms yesterday.
The drive was extremely beautiful as the world around us was dressed in green. Some prior rains had led to blossoming of new leaves.
The entire drive was dotted with innumerable steel plants and power plants. Jindal and Ispat to name a few. We got winding roads most of the way and the roads, which were initially 2 lanes turned into a single lane for most of our drive. But, the highlight of the day was the number of speed breakers on our way. I personally counted more than 100 before giving up.
